Ten Songs So Good They Should Be Books

toptentuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

1000 Years by KT Turnstall & Bleu

Yeah, okay. I first heard this song because it’s on the soundtrack for one of the Tinkerbell movies (which are fabulous, actually, if you haven’t watched them). The song goes on about a love strong enough to last 1000 years. I feel like this would be the perfect story for a fantasy, or some kind of supernatural story, where there are immortals/people age differently. Or a tale about reincarnation!

Set Your Sails by Future of Forestry

This song is so upbeat and I actually first discovered it because it was briefly mentioned in Tyger Tyger. I fell in love. I feel like it could make for a great adventure story, full of action and suspense.

Hourglass by Mindy Gledhill

This song is so sweet and cute–the kind you wouldn’t mind sharing with kids when they’re ready to drift off to sleep. Make it into a bedtime story!

Immortals by Fall Out Boy

This song is a lot punchier, more hard-care. I can imagine it being turned into an epic battle, maybe a series, of immortals or superheroes all pitted against each other.

Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars

Okay, this one is just for fun. This is like the contemporary that everyone just can’t resist–it has appeal for every reader or listener.

What songs do you love that would make great stories?
